Day One Depart from Johannesburg to Livingstone Airport in Zambia. On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be collected by our representative in Zambia and transferred to the boat which takes you across the river to Botswana. Transfer to Botswana via boat - arrive at private game lodge in the Chobe area. Our destination is an exclusive wildlife getaway in the Chobe area. The lodge is situated on the Chobe River in the North Eastern corner of Botswana’s Chobe National Park, and twenty kilometers upstream from the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers. This a place where the dust speaks of an ancient time, a time when the scent of the dust meant survival or death. The luxury lodge is an integral part of the game reserve, embracing mountain grasslands, wetlands and valley bush land. Arrive in time for an exciting evening game drive with sundowners en-route. Day Two & Three We depart for an early game drive with ranger in open vehicle, experiencing the awakening of the bushveld. As we travel we encounter many animals together with the predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Chobe’s wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. We return to the lodge for breakfast and the rest of the day is spent at leisure to relax around the pool. High Tea is served, followed by an exciting evening game drive with sundowners en-route. Day Four & Five We depart on an early morning game drive tracking the animals. We enjoy rusks and coffee en-route. We return to the lodge for breakfast. Transfer to Lodge Two arriving in time for a light lunch. High tea is served followed by a sundowner cruise. Game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly manoeuvrable boats piloted by expert boatmen. Cruises are on small boats or aboard the Mosi-oa-Tunya, affording spectacular wildlife viewing and enabling you to experience unforgettable African sunsets. We return to the lodge for dinner. Tonight we will experience the dancers around the camp fire. The boma (outdoor eating area enclosed by reed walls) is situated under large Mahogany trees on the banks of the Chobe River. Day Six Today we depart after an early breakfast for Zambia. Once more we cross the river by boat and then travel by road arriving in Zambia early afternoon. We check into our hotel situated on the banks of the Zambezi River. Overnight: Luxury en-suite accommodation, DBB
Day Seven This morning we are collected for our helicopter flip over the falls. This is a 15 minute flip and the views are outstanding, giving one a different perspective of the Victoria Falls and its magnitude. Overnight: Luxury hotel en-suite accommodation with views over the Zambezi DBB
Day Eight After an early breakfast we visit the Victoria Falls. This we do on foot as the walkway from the hotel is an easy route and most enjoyable. We visit the market with its many curios and meet the locals. We return to our hotel for lunch. In the early evening we enjoy an elephant back safari. Please note that this is an optional excursion. It is enjoyed by all ages from 6 years old to 86 years old and is an experience not to be missed. Day Nine After breakfast we transfer back to Livingstone Airport for our flights home.
